Our Program and Policies

Our program focuses on four clear goals:

1 We want to provide our buyers with top quality, healthy puppies.

To do this, genetic tests are performed on our breeding dogs so we can come as close to eliminating genetic diseases and defects as we can. Hips and elbow are examined in our breeding dogs and OFA certified good or excellent, which helps to minimize the occurrence of dysplasia in offspring. If the dog’s status is “pending” that would mean that they are not yet old enough to certify. But rest assured, their parents are either good or excellent or we wouldn’t have them in our program! The utmost attention is paid to the nutritional needs of our dogs and puppies. You could say that we obsess about it! Health schedules are strictly followed for adults and puppies. This would pertain to vaccinations, deworming, heartworm prevention, and flea/tick medications.

2 We want to provide a puppy that will have the best chance of fulfilling the buyer’s wants and needs.

We begin with ENS stimulation with three day old puppies. This program has been proven invaluable in helping to develop a stronger puppy. According to AKC, five benefits have been noticed: Improved heart rate, stronger heart beats, stronger adrenal glands, more tolerance to stress, and greater resistance to disease. Puppies were also more active and more outgoing than non-stimulated litter mates. We spend quite a bit of time socializing our puppies as well, introducing them to new sights, sounds, games, etc. We also ask buyers questions to the point of distraction. This is not to judge you or get up in your business, but to help us find the best “puppy fit” that we can.

3 We want our puppies to be the kind that upon meeting, a buyer’s friends and family say “wow, where did you get that pup?”.

Nothing compliments our program and puppies more than appreciation for what we have raised!

4   We want you to come back in the future.

We ask that our buyers stay in touch. We’re always available for questions and/or conversation. To have repeat buyers is to know that we have done our job well!

Available puppies will be posted on our site with prices. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any questions that you may have. If you decide to purchase a puppy from us, or want to place a deposit on a future litter, email us with your completed puppy questionnaire. We will contact you shortly thereafter. A $500.00 deposit will be required at that time. This deposit is not refundable, but we will transfer it to another puppy if need be. Deposits can be made via PayPal, personal check, money order, or cash. Let us know how you prefer to pay.

We do not ship our puppies via air. We will, however, deliver a pup or meet a buyer for pick up. Travel within 150 miles of our kennel is free. Travel beyond that will be assessed a mileage fee. We will also meet you at airports within our state.  If you choose to fly with your puppy, you are responsible for flight arrangements, crate purchase, etc.  We will travel to St. Louis International or Springfield/Branson National airports free of charge and meet you there.  We will travel to Kansas City International for a fee of $125.00.

We do not sell “pet only” puppies with limited registration. We provide full registration. One reason is that without other breeders willing to sell pups to us with full registration we wouldn’t have been able to get started with the quality dogs that we own. We want to pass the favor on. Another reason is that we realize limited registration would not keep indiscriminate breeders from using our bloodlines in the “designer dog” market. We do hope that buyers will tell us if they intend to breed our puppies in the future, as some pups may be more suitable for this than others. We do offer a rebate if a buyer spays or neuters their puppy. In order to receive $200.00, a buyer need only keep us up to date with a photo of the puppy at 4 months, 6 months, and at the time of the spay or neuter. Send or email pictures, along with a letter from the veterinarian stating that the surgery was done and his or her contact information. We will then send the rebate to the buyer for being a conscientious caretaker of the puppy that we raised. Spays or neuters must be done between six and eight months of age.
